Live Thrive Atlanta’s Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM), in collaboration with Atlanta Public Schools, the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, PebbleTossers and Captain Planet, will host Kid’s Recycle Day on Saturday, November 12 at the CHaRM facility located at 1110 Hill Street. This is a day of family activities and kids teaching kids the importance of recycling and reuse. Sponsorship for the event is provided by Waste Management and The CW 69 Atlanta.

We need Kids to volunteer through PebbleTosser

Activities include:

  • Captain Planet will be on site.
  • Recycle Crafts with WonderRoot Reuse.
  • Worm Composting Demonstration with Tom Mills of GreenShortz.
  • Artist Ann Pease Dodys will be on site creating angles from cereal boxes.
  • S. Atlanta Bike Shop talking repair and recycling bikes.
  • The Gift of Music Foundation.
  • Organic Face Painting.
  • USGBC Healthy Schools.
  • Georgia Recycling Coalition’s Read for Recycling.

 

Please share the video with your kids to inspire them to bring recyclables and items for reuse.
